I think the Honeycomb Embossing folder is one of the most versatile backgrounds available. Here’s two cards with different looks and themes and look how great it works with both!

Washi Tape and Butterflies

It took me a little bit to get used to using Washi Tape but I’m find its becoming a quick go to embellishment for me!
Here it is featured in the background of this card which also features Papillon Potpourri and Oh Hello stamp sets, and the elegant butterfly punch.

It’s all about the Candy!

Every once in a while, I find a stamp set and think, I’ll never use that. Then, it surprises me and becomes a go to favorite. That’s exactly what happened with gorgeous grunge. Here’s gorgeous grunge is combined washi tape for a fun look and a quick and easy Halloween card!

Monochrome Card

I’m often asked how to get started stamping without buying all of the colors and card stock at once. It’s easy! Just pick a color and one or two stamp sets you love and start with monochromatic cards. That’s right, stampin with one color on a neutral card stock gives a great look! And the Express Yourself stamp set is one you will find yourself using over and over again.
Here it is combined with Calypso Coral and Blooming with Kindness:

RemARKable Blog Tour

That’s right, it’s the second Sunday of the month and that means… it’s another RemARKable blog tour! This month, I started thinking about the cool colors of fall and chose the Magnificent Maple stamp (131868) and the Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper (132184) for my creations!

Magnificent Maple Notepad

I used a 5×8 note pad and cut Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper  to fit the top. For my notepad it was 5″x 3.5″. I secured with sticky tape, then stamped the Magnificent Maple leaf in chocolate chip ink on a variety of the Sweater Weather DSP, cut out the leaves and arranged with some natural ribbon!

I also love this stamp for a simple card. It’s great when you are just starting to build your collection of ink and paper!  Here’s a fun 3×3 thank you note with a coordinating envelope. To create it, take a 3×6 piece of whisper white card stock, fold in half. Use Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango markers and color directly on the Magnificent Maple stamp.  Stamp on the card, then stamp Thank You from the Lacey and Lovely set in Tangerine tango and that’s it!

Envelope is created from the envelope punch using Sweater Weather DSP

The envelope was created using our new envelope punch and the Sweater Weather DSP.

And now you are in for a real treat when you visit my good friend, Pam Staples at http://www.sunnygirlscraps.com .

Henry says, “Happy Anniversary!”

It’s my parents’ 56th wedding anniversary so I thought it would be fun for Henry ( the elephant from the Henry Says stamp set) to wish them well!

Triple Time Wildflower Meadow

I still love to play with the triple time stamping technique. Have you tried it yet? It’s a perfect fit for the new Wildflower Meadow set (wood 129165, clear 129168) featured here in crisp cantaloupe.Triple Time Wildflower

Once Upon a Dance

What have I been creating this weekend?  Fairy Tale inspired cards for Stage Door Dance’s Recital, “Once Upon a Dance”  - only 75 more to go…

Once Upon a Dance

Mr and Mrs

It’s wedding season and I love the look of a crisp clean white card with just a touch of gold embossing! This one also features flowers made from the new Stampin’ Up! Clay. It’s fun and easy to use and the flowers are light but durable. I had so much fun making this card that I’m pretty sure it’s going to be one of my swaps for convention!
