I just couldn’t resist playing around with Stampin’ Up!’s Scentsational Season stamp set (item 121026 wood, 121190 clear) and matching Holiday Collection framelits (item (#127814). I embossed the Gingerbread man with Sugar and Spice embossing powder (#127829) which filled my craft room with the scent of fresh baked cookies yum! In our team meeting this past weekend, we participated in a fun team challenge to celebrate summer Olympics! Each team was given the same set of pre-cut card stock and DSP and we were challenged to create a card following minimum WOW! card standards. Our creations had to contain at least:
1. 3 layers
2. One stamped image
3. One embellishment
4. Use of a punch
5. Must be good enough to publish and share
But there was a catch – it was a relay, only one person could create at a time and every 30 seconds we passed our card onto the next person. It was a lot of fun – here’s the results:
I love the Stampin’ Up! Storytime Designer Series Paper – it’s great for scrapbooking, projects and cards! It also works well for everything from welcoming baby to celebrating childhood events and friendships. Check out the photo above for a sampling of projects made with Storytime!
Here’s a card I made to swap at Stampin’ Up!’s convention last week. It’s perfect to welcome a new baby! To create the background, I embossed it through the big shot twice. First with the Perfect Polka Dots Big Shot Folder (#117335) leaving just enough edge sticking out of the folder so I could run it back through covering up the edge with the Delicate Designs Folder (#127023) to create the lace image at the bottom. Change the Congratulations banner at the bottom to You’re Invited and dress up the ark with a few rhinestones or pearls and you will have the cutest Baby Shower invitations, ever!
Stamp Set: Two by Two (#126788)

Staz on Black Ink (#101406), Watercolor Pencils (# 101879), Blender Pens (#102845)
Big Shot: Delicate Designs Folders (#127023), Perfect Polka Dots Folder (#117335)

I love this time of year when fresh blueberries are available. I’ve been enjoying them from The Produce Box, a local company that delivers locally grown, farm-fresh produce to your door every week during our North Carolina growing season. So this morning, I tried out a new recipe for The Best Blueberry Muffins and the recipe didn’t lie ! They were fantastic! And although they disappeared quickly, I did manage to squirrel one away to brighten someone’s day! So here’s my recipe for this great muffin or cupcake holder:
Take a Stampin’ Up! Kraft Box (pg 161 item#124106) which measures 3.4″x3.5″x2.5″ and fold it flat so the top of the box is free and can be run through your big shot.
Cover with designer series paper. I used Floral District (pg 163 item#126919).
Cut out a window using your favorite framelit or punch. I used the labels collection framelits (pg 191 item#125598).
Cut a piece of window sheet 3.5″ x 3.5 ” and adhere on back to create your window top.
Decorate the sides. I used a 10.5″ x 1.5″ strip of Floral District DSP scored at 3.5″ from each end. I also decorated the edges with the adorning accents edgelit (pg 191 item#125595), but a punch like the Scallop Trim Border (pg 183 item#118402) would also work well.
Then embellish. I used the “For You” stamp from Layered labels (pg 103 #127070 wood, 127072 clear) stamped in Lucky Limeade (pg 152 #126984) and cut out with the matching framelit from Apothecary Accents (pg 191 item 127003) layered with the For You section stamped in Tangerine Tango (pg 152 #126946) and punched out with the Large Oval Punch (pg 184 item#119855) and adhered with Stamping Dimensionals.
And finally for the finishing touch, I added a butterfly created with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit (pg 188 item 118318) and a small scrap of Floral District DSP.

I love the combination of Daffodil Delight with Island Indigo. So when I needed a quick birthday gift, I knew it was the perfect combination. Here’s the fun treat holder I made to fit the gift I had in mind. Wondering what’s inside?
A set of three fun stylus’ to use with and iPad or other mobile device. Stylus’ are inexpensive, fun and come in a variety of colors so I find them the perfect quick gift!
And of course, this fun gift would not be complete without a matching card! I knew I wanted a crisp clean look, so, I pulled out one of my favorite templates.
To add a little extra pop, run the daffodil delight and the card base through your favorite embossing folder before adding on the sentiment or ribbon!
Share your favorite stamp set and color combination with this template!
Like many of you, I’ve been storing my Framelits and Edgelits in a DVD case held with a magnetic strip. That works great when I’m on the go for demonstrations or worskhops. But in my Stampin’ Studio I really needed a different solution. The DVD cases were blending in with everything else – so, I used the Stampin’ Up! Decor Elements chalkboard base, applied that to my wall and then applied a magnet sheet right on top. And now my Edgelits and Framelits are within easy reach right on the wall above my Big Shot station!
