Happy Valentine’s Day!
Welcome to the first ever Journey Blog Hop! I’m so happy you’re hoppin’ along! If you arrived here from Christine Pennington’s blog, you’re on the right track. If not, that’s ok too! Just continue the hop and you’ll come full circle!
The amazing color palette to choose from is just one of the many things that I love about Fun Stamper’s Journey. I needed a couple of quick Valentine treats but decided to skip right past the traditional red and white. The Brach’s Candy Sweetheart box was the inspiration for this matchbook treat holder. Then I decided, while I’m crafting, why not dress up the Brach’s candy box?
I used the Yummy and Delicious printed paper and then focused on Bubble Gum and Grape Fusion for my accent colors. And of course, whenever I pull out Bubble Gum cardstock, the Bubble Gum Silk just has to follow for an extra bit of sparkly splash!
To make the matchbook treat holder, I used a piece of Bubble Gum cardstock 3″ x 8.5″ and with the long side positioned at the top of my scoring board, I scored at 1″, 4 3/4″, and 5 1/4″. Next, I folded along score lines, folded up the bottom and tucked in the top. A fun size pac of candy fits perfectly! To embellish, I used the Cascading Hearts Die, a Bezel Dot (now available BOGO in our Plus one selections) and of course a Splash of Bubblegum Silk (I LOVE that stuff!) . The Brach’s box is covered in Yummy and Delicious printed paper (also Plus one for February – buy one printed pack of paper and get another of your choice free) and adorned with the Doily Heart stamped in Grape Fusion on Bubblegum paper.
